The Lithium-Ion Advantage
The 24602 can be powered by a 6.0-Ah lithium-ion battery or a lighter-weight 2.6-Ah lithium-ion battery (batteries not included). Lithium-ion batteries provide up to three times longer runtime than comparable nickel-cadmium batteries--up to 2,000 cycles. They also maintain consistent power, so you won't be disturbed by power lapses or surges. And because lithium-ion batteries are recyclable and are manufactured without heavy metals, this lithium-ion tool is an choice.
Available Charger Reduces Energy Usage by 35 Percent
Compatible 24602 batteries can be conveniently charged in the corresponding rated charger (not included ). The charger is Energy Star rated, which means it has been shown by the EPA to reduce energy usage by an average of 35 percent from conventional yard tools.
